debetesseSo, I had avoided watching WKRP given the soundtrack issues. But, then the writers' strike happened, and I got hulu, and I figured, "What the Hell."
OMG, people, this show is amazing! I mean, yes, the hair and pants are rather dated. And, yes, I am only in Season 1.
But I'm watching this, and thinking, "This is even more of a direct line to Sports Night than MASH, even." And, yes, there are only the two female characters, but damned if the busty blonde isn't really well-written. The other is a bit, well, spunky, but I can hope she gets more interesting. She does kinda remind me of Willow, back in the day.
The writing and characterization would be well above-average (in quality and from a social perspective) today.
There's plenty of more episodes, but, after that, there had damn well better be fic.
I have no real intelligent comment, I just, well, WKRP likes carrots.
