So, I sent an email to the Adolescent Orientation people, telling them my job had fallen through, and I didn't think I could attend this summer.

I got an email back saying that they really wanted me (me, in particular) to come, and that the head of the program (who is, like, THE Guy for adolescent Montessori stuff) would help me find a job. (!!!!!)

I called him, and he came up with 4 places I should get in touch with, and drop his name. (!!)

So, I called them.

Then he called me tonight, saying that this school he loves just had their Upper El teacher quit. He wanted my permission to give them my number. (!!!!)

The school's in Northern Indiana, so I may be stopping there for an interview on my way to Ohio. It does put me close-ish to family. However, it also puts me close to Chicago, Michigan, et al.

Oh, and? They'd pay for my training this summer. And they had brought on someone who David called The Best Upper El person in the country to mentor the old teacher, and, you know, she would probably stay on.

So people keep telling me. I'm trying not to get too excited, until things are more settled, though. I will admit it's hard.
