In need of the hivemind
Aug. 26th, 2007 12:18 pmI know some of you have catering experience. I know some of you have vegetarian or vegan experience. I know most of you are pretty smart most of the time. I need your brains. Braaaaaiiins.
We have weekly cooking...lesson-things. Once a week (on Tuesdays), two of the kids cook lunch for the rest of the class (about 20 people) with the help of an adult. They'll likely have something like an hour to do this.
Last year, they ended up just doing one item, as any more was proving too much for them. They also had issues with food that would work for everyone (they ended up with 2 vegetarians an 1 milk-free, so to please everyone, it would have taken something like veganism).
We're talking 9-12 year olds with pretty limited cooking experience. I have no real ideas, and would love any thoughts that anyone might have.
