Music question. Acutally, make that 2 music questions

So, I was listening to Virgin Radio UK last night, and heard this song:

Wicked infectious. I don't know if it's been released in the US, but I bet not.

What I can't figure out is...what she's getting at. I mean, yes, it certainly seems pretty blatantly "things were better then", but I can't help but think that the mangling of the imagery ("A puck rocker with flowers in her hair"? The Hell?) points to something. Or is my brain just tired and trying to fabricate depth?

Also, I need to make a CD of songs about girls with green eyes for a co-worker. We were talking about Brown-Eyed Girl, and she commented that there aren't any songs about girls with green eyes. So, anyone know any? Preferably...happier songs, rather than not.
