Messages from the Universe

First off, Many, Many Happy Returns of the Day to both Maria and Kristin (how was skating?)!

I'm one of those people who sees Signs. Little post-its from the Universe to me. At the moment, the message seems to be: "You can't always get what you want..." sing with me, now!

There is snow. There is a shitload of snow: something like a foot. Unfortunately, it will likely have been cleared enough that there will be school tomorrow. We got yesterday off (before there was any snow at all), so I guess it works out.

I should be doing homework, but I really don't want to.

My Bitch blanket is done, and will be going out tomorrow, with my Netflix.

I just watched The Dalek Invasion of Earth. I'm watching everything out on DVD in order, and trying to fill in the gaps between the DVDs without spoiling too much. Still feeling a little lost.

I spent the found money on House, Wonderfalls, and most of my pledge to my local NPR station (I'm getting a mug. I've never had a Public radio mug before. I feel so growed up)

Work. Well, work is work. I need to get insoles for my shoes, since I'm on my feet the whole time (seriously, there is no sitting). We've got a lot of teenagers working there. It's odd to be not at all the youngest. They also like me a lot. I've gotten a lot of "doing really well" comments. Go team competence.

Additional job update to follow by mid-week: new possibilities on the horizon. I should probably make an icon for job-search.
